Little Grace was the cutest little thing. We weren’t getting very many smiles, but I think that is when you see all the other little innocent gestures that this age holds. Aren’t they a beautiful family?

Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest work and inspirations. I am an on-location photographer who lives in Northern Virginia and loves natural light. I am a mother of 3 and most of what I do is inspired by my own children. I like to think that my job is to photograph what childhood is made...the miracle of a newborn, the innocence of a baby, the curiosity of a toddler, and the ever-changing ways of a child. I love every expression that a child gives and everything in between. I love alleyways and open fields, tricycles and buggies, curls and freckles.
This blog will showcase recent sessions, wonderful clothing designers, special occasion products, and also a peek into my daily life as both a mother and photographer.

this family drove all the way from Montana for their photo session. I was so honored and so excited to capture such adorable and awesome kids. Their mom used to be a cheerleader with my oldest sister, so they were able to reconnect at our session as well. Don’t they all look great? Mom did an incredible job with their wardrobe and as you can see, little sister is wearing an amazing outfit from Pretty Me!
I was so thrilled that the Wingets had me do another session with them this year. I’m telling you, this is one of the sweetest and coolest moms out there. I love these cute kids and I hope I get to photograph them every year!

- you are such an amazing photographer!
Seriously, one blast-from-the-past for me…This is the best part about going back home and doing photo sessions. I get response from old friends and Amy was my college roommate during my first year. I’m sure she has some really not-so-fond memories of me
She has such a darling family of 3 boys and 1 adorable little girl. Aren’t they all just so happy and full of smiles?
It was so fun to see you, Amy!

Jen is another friend from high school that I haven’t seen since we graduated. This cute family lives in Las Vegas now and was so excited to send these photos to their dad who is deployed as a doctor in Afghanistan for 6 months!! I can’t imagine how much they miss him, so I hope these photos of these unbelievably beautiful kids will melt his heart!

- wow Jenn you have been busy! These sessions are just fantastic!
It was so fun to see the Stevens family again. I photographed little Ella when she was a newborn on one of my summer trips to UT. Wow, she has grown into such a cutie, and there is a new addition to the family as well! Talk about adorable, happy kids….

- Great job! Those shots are beautiful!
Brandon and I went to high school together, so it was so fun to see him again, along with his super cool photographer wife, 3 boys, and beyond-words-cute little girl, Lucy. Don’t let these boys’ GQ expressions fool you into the fact that they were all serious for the session–there was plenty of crazy faces, wrestling & dog piles going on!

another great family session at Wheeler Farm. Oh my, what would I have done without that truck?

- I love those! How cute is she sitting on the truck all by herself?!
- You know I am SUCH a fan. The truck is SO fun. I haven't been to Wheeler Farm in years. I remember an old tractor, but not the cool truck. WOW!! This family looks adorable.
I am so glad I met Destry. She is actually one of my best friend’s, Virginia Payne, sister. She is such a likable girl and she has the cutest kids ever. Because she is a photographer herself, (check out www.destrylynnphoto.com), she really knows how to dress a family right!!
